My boyfriend and I have been together for a little under a year. We go to different colleges, and we will be spending the summer mostly apart due to work. So far, we’ve been able to make it work, but I was wondering if anyone had advice on how to keep your relationship strong when you’re apart so much. Thanks a ton!
AS LONG AS YOU TRUST EACH OTHER AND TALK TO EACH OTHER ON A DAILY BASES YOU SHOULD BE FINE!!
Me and my boyfriend met online 2 years ago. We have been together in person 3 times for a total of 3 weeks and yet our relationship is amazing. We both have computers and webcams so we can see each other everyday and we both have long distance plans on our phones so we can talk/text each other no matter what. The main key to our relationship is from the very beginning we hid nothing from each other (i mean yes we both had secrets from before and after we started dating, but they eventually came out) if you do have a secret then no matter what tell him…it will give him reason to doubt you but over time will strengthen his trust in you. Talk to each other everyday, tell each other about your day and who you were with, be honest. Try to find websites online to play games together when you have. Since you haven’t been together super long and this is something me and my boyfriend still love doing 2 years later…ask each other questions (past, sex, future, plans) even if it’s questions you’ve asked before..you never know when he gives you an answer and it makes him think of a story from his past that he’s never told you. If you honestly think you’re meant to be together and love each other then no matter what you can make it work…it’s not easy and very hard and painful but you can get through it
