I love my boyfriend and want our relationship to get stronger, but sometimes I don’t understand where he’s coming from when we talk about a problem. His parents divorced when he was young, and he makes jokes about how I have a perfect family (yeah right) and couldn’t understand because my parents are still together. How do I get him to trust me and talk about what’s freaking him out? Is there any way to help him so that our relationship isn’t affected so much by his parents’ past?

I’m currently dating this wonderful lady who has ended a relationship 6 months ago. I’m a very patient person but do any one have any advice on this situation?
Ok let me explain…. we’ve been on 2 dates already and on both dates we had a great time however when I tried to kiss her on the 2nd date she pulled back and explained because she’s a little apprehensive due to her previous relationship and I stated to her that I’m a patience person that I totally understand what she’s has gone through.

I’m dating someone who is always having thoughts about me that are so painful. I am not perfect in any way, but he has a way of finding all of my imperfections and dwelling on them to the point where he can’t move forward with me. We’ve been dating for about 7 years now and I am ready to move forward but he is waiting to “not feel as bad about the thoughts” he has about me. What should I do?

Im in middle school and I guess Im not that pretty but I really like a guy and I think he may like me back but i cant tell…… So how do I tell if he likes me back? Also how do i get him to really notice me and maybe ask me out…… (im in 8th grade if that matters)

My childs father left me when I was 2 months pregnant. We had only been dating for 4 months at that point and it wasnt the best relationship…I was his rebound. Anyways, now that our daughter is actually born, he comes over every night after work to see her and help take care of her. We get along really well as friends and we flirt too. Our relationship is very different now from when we dated before…we are sorta becoming best friends. Its been months since he said he didn’t want a relationship but I am really scared to ask him how he feels now b/c I was already rejected once. Any ideas of icebreakers on how to deal with this? I was thinking of saying something like “Are you really comfortable with our daughter having a step-father as a role model instead of you? You are going to regret someday not even trying to have her parents together for her.”
